Hi! My name's Amanda and I like to enjoy many things in life such as Doctor Who and Sherlock and Homestuck and Supernatural and The Avengers and Les Miserables and Legend of Zelda and Assassin's Creed and enjoy the little things in life. AND! Let's not forget! I obsess over beautiful actors. On top of that, I'm 17 years old, currently a junior in high school, and living in the wonderfully cold state called Wisconsin. Recently, I had an epiphany; I am me. As completely cliche as that sounds, it's true. Lately I've been trying to be someone I'm not, someone I thought would make everyone else happy which, in turn would make myself happy. But that's not how it goes is it? I have to be what I think is the best me and through my friends and teachers and T.V. shows I have found that. I guess you could say I...regenerated.

Music has always been a big part of my life. It's something that influenced me and helped me figure out the difficult paths in my life. Currently, I'm listening to Panic! At the Disco, Jack Johnson, Passenger, Angus and Julia Stone, Arctic Monkeys, Ron Pope, and Eric Hutchinson. I recommend that if you haven't listened to any of these lovely artists that you give them a listen-they just might surprise you.
Today's idea comes from my band director. After I confessed to him that my depression came back and it was making me feel very awful, he told me this; "Sometimes medicine isn't always the solution. Maybe you just need a good song, a quet place, a perfect rain storm, or maybe even a nice lie down in the grass. Sometimes what you need to make yourself feel better is something you've been ignoring all along." Remember that my lovlies. You're all wonderful.
So, I’ve just gotta say this. At this point in the concert, the shock was wearing off of me as I began to realize that I was actually there seeing a band that is so special to me, a band who’s music inspires me and makes me freaking happy. This is my favourite song written by them and to hear them play it live…there’s no other feeling like it. I’ve never cried so hard in my life-this memory is so special, and I’m so glad I went and felt the energy and the music with at least 4,000 other people. Some things you honestly just never forget, and let me tell you, I’ve never felt so alive. #patd #gospeltour
Finally!! The words in this were based off of Hiccup’s narration in the first book of the How to Train Your Dragon series by Cressida Cowell. I’ve been working on this for a few months now (on and off) and finally just finished it for the Dragons 2 release. Happy flying for those who are going to see it!!! :)
I had to oddly compress everything because of Tumblr formatting x__X make sure you click the 3 mini pictures after the first/second panel!!!
Tonight’s concert reminded me why little seventh grade me started listening to them in the first place. It also reminded me why even though I stray into different genres and bands Panic! Will always be there for me and that’s why they are my favorites.
I just got back from a Panic! at the Disco concert and honestly some nights just remind you that you’re alive. Laughing at 1am over stupid jokes after a long ride home, ears ringing and voices hoarse, I am alive.
